A walk in the garden.

April. 12 Resurrection Sunday

Ps. 23

Wherever l decide to go. In green pastures or in times of woe.

The Lord he is right with me. Protecting from the enemy.

Though l struggle and toil. It is he who anoints my head with oil

It is his goodness love and mercy. That sets me free from anxiety.

As I go today to the Lords place. And follow him all of my days

Lk. 15:1-7

As a known sinner. Failed never should be a winner

Though the world does disagree. Jesus comes and rescues me.

As l alone listen to his voice. In heaven angels rejoice.

Rev. 7:13-17

Who are these who are clothed in white. Who gave them the right.

When the world did oppose. With the lambs blood from strife arose

This alone made them white. And righteous in Gods sight.

For the Lamb upon the throne. Our shepherd has now made known

Where springs of living water lead, This will meet our every need.

April 11

Jere. 49-50

The Lord wars against all. Bringing about a great fall

So Gods people no longer face. Destruction death and disgrace

Yet even amongst them. He will save children and women.

The weak and the abused. Will come now to be used.

To glorify God before men. To build a new Jerusalem

While the enemies will be left. Desolate and bereft

Gods people for good deployed While Babylon totally destroyed.

To the Lord in praise shout. For he now leaves no doubt.

Who will eventually win, the temple for him to abide in.

Mth. 1:1-6

Amazing to see, Jesus’s ancestry

The good and the sad. All became glad

Like Abraham and David. Then Tamar mentioned

Obed was another With Ruth as a mother.

Then Solomon was born. From Bathsheba forlorn

All ancestors of the King. That fulfilled everything

Ps. 50:16-23

No good you making out. You know what it is all about.

When you refuse discipline. When see the ttrouble you are in.

Mouth full of slander and lies. Until the faith in you dies.

Repent before you forget me. And salvation no longer see.

Prov. 10:11-13

Godly have a life giving fountain Wicked build destructive mountain

April 10

Jere. 45-48

You should all know.

A time of war and woe.

Will come against those.

Once strong who now oppose.

All that Gods stands for.

Destruction is at their door.

Though strong they think they are.

Surely more advanced by far.

Yet many desert, now do flee.

Once strong their faith not in he.

Who once brought them fame.

Now they desecrate his name.

Lk. 25:45-53

The Lord comes to open our mind.

To reveal all that we can find.

As we believe and worship him.

Who we now have total faith in.

The Holy Spirit we have received.

As in him in confidence believed.

As we now do know.

Though to heaven he did go.

He with us in Spirit abides.

In the very place that derides.

That has always ignored.

The presence of the Lord.

Ps. 50:1-15

The Lord alone is strong.

He will overcome all that is wrong.

All the earth belongs to him.

If we sacrifice all our ambition.

He will fulfil our every dream.

For our God reigns supreme.

Whatever trouble we may be in.

You must pray and believe in him

Prov. 10:8-10

The wise have found out

The foolish are full of doubt

April 9

Jere. 41-44

The Lord has now given you.

Peace just as long as you do.

All that God has to say.

And learn that you must obey.

A few others became annoyed.

Gods purpose totally destroyed.

Despite what Jeremiah said.

From Gods presence fled.

Then they chose to go.

To Egypt where they did show

Contempt for the ways of the Lord.

His sacraments totally ignored.

So that there then came a day.

That God sent the enemy to slay.

For you have forgotten all.

That originally brought your fall.

Lost the protection of the Lord.

As again his instructions ignored.

Even then you will not listen.

Treat Gods word with derision.

Worshiping all that is wrong.

Saying this is where we belong.

Lk. 24:36-44

Jesus we suddenly then saw.

It was just like it was before.

Now I see what he’s about.

No need to be filled with doubt.

Says when you come close to me.

All those doubts of yours will flee.

Jesus says you can come my way!

This is a completely different day.

Ps s 25:16-22

Come Lord have mercy.

That l again will see.

The presence of my Lord.

Who l sometimes have ignored

Protect me in all l do.

As l put my faith in you.

Prov. 10:4-7.

Lazy people become poor.

For Gods word they ignore.

Never find what God has instore

A walk in the garden

April 7

Jere. 37-40

Our leaders refuse to listen

They try stopping my mission.

To tell God would tear down

Those old edifices of renown.

Though many will despise me.

On day they will come to see.

The word of the Lord.

Cannot be ignored.

Yet they refuse to hear this.

They still completely miss.

The point l am trying to make.

Won’t obey God for heavens sake.

Then in dungeon mud up to knee.

Men treat me dastardly.

But this outsider does shout

Come l will lift you out.

Rescued you continue to say.

This is a disastrous day.

Then the king says come near

Gods word secretly I want to hear

But still many are against me.

They find it impossible to see.

That they will end up in captivity.

When if surrender could be free.

They refuse to try something new

So God destroyed all but a few.

But even though it was told them.

Be careful of those murderous men

Would not believe even that

And that was the end of that.

Lk. 24:25-35

How foolish are you.

For l explained all l would do.

Lord I ask you to come in.

That my eyes you will open.

When I partake in communion.

My joy is now complete.

I go to where disciples meet

As l explain how Jesus came.

He does for them the same.

Ps. 25:8-15

The Lord is good does what is right.

In my and all the people’s sight.

When humbled and see in a mess.

We come to see Gods faithfulness.

Lord l know the trouble I’m in.

Only he can help me to win.

As l show respect in what I do.

Help me my faith to renew.

Prov. 10:1-3

Gods children should be wise.

Or faith of others dies.

A walk in the garden

April 6

Jere. 33-36

Though still confined.

World thinks I’m out of my mind.

I say war that has begun.

Is never going to be won.

Until God does restore.

His church like it was before.

What was empty and desolate

Becomes joyful as we celebrate.

The Lord will again lead.

And fill our every need

Though some will sneer.

Say the Lord is no longer there.

Others will come to see

The Lord is a God of mercy.

Though he will now tear down.

Your recovery will become renown

See those who still obey.

What their ancestors did say.

Just why don’t you.

Do what Your God asks you to do.

Instead you tear and burn Gods word.

That you have just heard.

Though some cry and mourn

Show leaders they are forlorn

But still they totally ignore.

And just slam the door.

Lk. 24:19-24

Have you heard that today.

And all that people say

Despite the leaders derision

We have heard Christ has risen.

Ps. 25:1-7

Lord I give my life to you.

Come my hope and faith renew.

Whatever I might have to face.

Save me Lord from my disgrace.

Lead me and teach me.

That one day people will see.

Your unfailing goodness and love.

That flows down from above.

Prov. 9:17-18

What often try to steal

Entices with its appeal.

A walk in the garden

April 6 Easter Monday

Jere. 31-32

All disaster is coming.

Gods people are wondering.

Will we ever win

Over this strife we are in.

Yet God is in control.

Of body heart and soul.

To redeem and return.

After we come to learn.

The consequences of our own.

Failures before God are known.

For his love is so great.

That despite our sinful state.

He will finally bring back.

And restore all we lack.

There will be great sadness.

But then hearts full of gladness.

As God comes to restore.

What he promised before.

So each person is a part.

With a cleansed and pure heart.

Of the Lords purpose for them.

The salvation for all men.

Amazing it is to see.

What seemed an impossibility.

To the astonishment of everyone.

Gods people released to overcome.

Lk. 24:13-18

As we walk along and say.

What will become of this day.

We have heard of the good news.

But people have different views.

Then quite out of the blue.

A man comes and walks with you.

He seems so very wise.

It is then you recognise.

Jesus is talking to you.

Explaining Gods eternal view.

Ps. 32

What joy for those forgiven.

As confess their lives of sin.

What joy when our record.

Has been cleared by the Lord.

For my body wasted away.

I was groaning every day.

Finally when l confessed.

Nobody would have guessed.

The Lord came to guide.

He was again by my side.

His grace did abound

Joy in him again was found.

Prov. 9:10-16

Fear of the Lord brings wisdom.

Careful who others you do listen.

A walk in the garden

April 5 Easter Sunday

1Cor. 15

There is no doubt

what Christ was about.

For if this is not true.

We are fools for what we do.

But we know he rose again.

Defeating all pain

So we too will live.

For he does give.

Life everlasting.

So go on now mastering

This body you are given

For when you reach heaven.

The day when you will come.

And bow before Father and Son

Death no longer has sting.

Him we will be idolising.

As we are a part.

Of a brand new start.

Lk. 24:1-12

It was early when we arrived.

All hope had expired

But empty was the tomb.

Hope now filled the room.

Where was my Lord.

Who I had so adored.

Then he showed himself.

I’m no longer left on shelf

For he has given me.

Eyes that I can see.

Christ is alive again.

Defeating all my pain.

A walk in the garden

April 4

Jere. 28-30

A man will come and claim.

To be prophesying in Gods name.

But it is all just a lie.

His life and words will die.

For the real truth is that.

You will remain where you’re at

For a season of repentance.

Until there is acceptance.

Of what went on before.

Then l will come and restore.

For I know the plans l have for you

In everything l do.

Plans for you again to cope.

Plans that give you hope.

Just listen to what l say.

So you can prosper in this day.

Though you are in captivity

Still must seek me wholeheartedly

Until l bring you home.

Where Gods total love is known

And those to the devil belong.

Will be proved totally wrong.

Lk. 23:50-56

They have laid my saviour there

Death overtaken l fear.

just seems no hope at all.

We watch and lose our call.

All now that we can do.

Is to cry out Lord to you.

Ps. 72:12-20

When poor and we cry

On him alone we can rely

When a disaster is seen

Know he came to redeem.

And we can all sing.

Long live the king.

As we worship him.

Who our salvation is in.

Prov. 9:7-9

Then we can forget about those.

Who our righteousness oppose.

Good Friday

A walk in the garden

April 3.

A disaster it did seem.

That Christs life did mean.

Ridiculed and destroyed.

Because man was annoyed.

By the righteousness of him.

Who Gods salvation was in.

Though he was so wise.

The world did not recognise.

But his day will surely come

He will be King of his kingdom

All men will realise.

It’s our righteousness he buys.

Lk. 23:26-49

As we watch on.

Asked to take Christs cross upon.

Our shoulders too.

His sorrow to view.

For we too watch how.

The world’s cruel now.

Lord remember me.

May I in your kingdom be.

Forgive me for l killed you.

My failures in full view.

Yet amazing it is to see.

From law you set us free.

The curtain is torn.

Sun to rise on a new dawn.

Ps. 22

It is on good friday l see.

When God seems to abandon me.

When l will call so desperately.

Why won’t you now set me free.

Despite my sincere belief.

I find just no relief.

My hope is in Christ alone.

For he now sits on his throne

Though once scorned and mocked.

It was he that came and unlocked.

The doors of heaven.

Despite those bulls of Bashan.

That would tear me down.

I feel like I could drown.

Others look down upon

All my strength is gone.

Yet even as I sadly sigh.

I know he hears my cry.

It will be seen even now.

I will fulfil my vow.

And before him I bow.

Others do too somehow.
